A song about my favorite book.
The second half of Don Quixote is much more serious than the first; in it, a couple living in a castle work to drive a wedge between Don Quixote and Sancho Panza to amuse themselves. They do reconcile at the end. Don Quixote lifts off the "mask" before he dies and reveals that he was never crazy -- he just wanted to do something nice for the world. But no one would accept that, so they beat him down until he went home in shame, burned his books, and laid down to die.
Was it worth it?
