The Triple Crown™ TC-50™ provides a wide range of tonal possibilities from pristine clean to massive high gain. This video showcases the Triple Crown’s accurate and even-ordered harmonic layering for rhythm sounds at mid-gain settings in Ch. 2, and the dynamic and sustaining solo sounds of Ch. 3 at medium-to-high gain settings. The selectable Tight Mode was also in used in both gain channels in this video to highlight the immediate response and mid-forward voicing to more aggressive and faster instrument attack.
The Gain controls in both Ch. 2 & 3 offer an incredible range of different distortion flavors, dynamics and tones across the control’s full sweep. Ch. 2 has one less preamp tube gain stage than Ch. 3, adding variety to the sounds you can dial in between the channels and expanding the amp’s tonal range to appeal to many different playing styles and rigs.
Recorded with a Gibson Firebird with Mini Humbuckers, a Gretsch Silver Falcon with Filter’Tron pickups, and a Les Paul Standard with P94 pickups into a Triple Crown TC50 and a Rectifier Compact 2x12 cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30s. A Jim Dunlop Echoplex Delay was used in-line with the guitar during the solo. Mic’d with a Shure SM57, a Royer 121 and the CabClone and blended 45% SM57, 35% Royer and 20% CabClone and mastered for optimal output.
