At the Taylor Guitars booth at NAMM this year we were lucky enough to grab some of Andy Powers time to get an in depth look at brand new models from Taylor Guitars in 2020.
Who better to hear of the thought processes behind the new innovation from Taylor this year - the soundport cutaway on the Builder's Edition 816ce? As well as this Andy and Jack about the new Builder's Edition 652ce WHB 12 string model, the reversed string orientation and the how the V class bracing affects the tonality of the 12 string guitar. On top of this Andy discusses Taylor's new initiative to become evermore sustainable by using the 'Urban Jungle' tonewoods. Sourced from salvaged city trees that have been selected for removal from urban settings. Instead of allowing this beautiful, functional wood to end its life cycle in a landfill, Taylor have reclaimed it for use in the backs and sides of their Builder's Edition 324ce.
Thanks to Andy Powers and Taylor for their time, we loved and really enjoyed seeing what Taylor have to offer for 2020 and can't wait to get our hands on them ourselves!
