Today we are having a quick first look at a special Custon Shop Stradovari and the Teleman T68 Thinline Guitar by the good folks at Maybach. Big THANK YOU to Killian from Maybach for bringing these lovely guitars along to 42 Gear Street!
Helping me out today are Mike from China Guitar Sceptic, Ryan from 60 Cycle Hum and all the switching was done by RJ Ronquillo...please make sure to go and check out their channels...links below!
The Audio issues...just incase anyone cares:
All the audio at the "Postoffice" Studio was recorded onto a Zoom F8n Multi-Track Audio Field Recorder...sadly this time - for some reason - the audio was not there after we finished filming! Luckily Henning thought about the possibility of something going wrong and put a backup audio recording system in place which recorded all the audio onto a single stereo track with all the voices on one channel and all the guitars in the other channel of that stereo track - that can then be easily separated and used as two mono tracks. The voices were recorded through a shotgun mic (not sure what mic it was) and the Guitars were a blended signal of the Lewitt Mic as mentioned in the video AND a Two Notes CAB-M Cabinet Simulator. Normally - if the Audio would have been recorded onto the Zoom F8n - we would get two separate audio tracks for the guitar sounds...one track with the mic'ed up Cabinet and the second track with the Two Notes CAB-M and we could blend it whichever way we want...or use one and not the other...etc. As this was the BACKUP recording I only got one mono track with both the Mic and the CAB-M sounds already blended together on it. Normally that would not be a problem at all...the problem was that the people who used the room before us turned the CAB-M OFF for their video and never turned it back ON...and I never checked to make sure it was ON. So...the audio I have is a mono guitar track with the sound of a mic'ed cabinet AND a dry direct amp sound all in one...which sounds HORRIBLE! I applied a speaker IR to the track and a LOT of EQ...which made it sound ok...but still pretty crap! I was originally not going to release these videos but I thought both Mike & Ryan were so funny and the whole RYANCAM thing was one of my favourite moments of 42 Gear Street...it would be a shame to not show this...so here it is...crappy audio and all - let me know what you think!!
