This video demonstrates how to use Werkstatt-01 to add a second envelope to Mother-32’s voice architecture.

Many classic synthesizers utilize two envelopes per voice to allow for independent envelope shapes between the VCF and VCA. This approach enables heightened flexibility in terms of timbre and volume articulation when designing sounds. While Mother-32 only has a single envelope, its semi-modular nature allows users to expand its capabilities via the 32-point patchbay. Using Werkstatt-01, users can incorporate its AD/ASD envelope to modulate different parameters on Mother-32, giving access to classic sounds from dual envelope synthesizers like the Minimoog Model D or Moog Prodigy.
