Hybrid drumming combines technology with acoustic drums so you can reinforce and complement your acoustic drum sound by adding electronic sounds. More drum sounds, improved sound quality, higher production values for your performance—with hybrid drums, the possibilities are endless.
Your acoustic sound can be strong, but the core drum sound remains the same throughout the gig. Certain sounds, or styles of music, need particular sounds. When you’re performing live and moving through songs and styles during the set, the kit sound can change too simply by layering different drum sounds on top of the acoustic sound. A fat 808 kick, a hand clap on the snare, or even samples of your drums as you recorded them in the studio, it’s all possible with a module and triggers.
In this video, Michael Schack demonstrates how can layer another drum, percussion or effect sound on top of your acoustic sound. Listen for the 'Hybrid On', 'Hybrid Off' demonstration.
