Superb delay tone quality (1.5 secs) with tons of tweaking power over the modulated repeats; stereo in/out; tap tempo with the four favourite subdivisions; 60/120 sec looper (stereo or mono) with half-speed and reverse; remote switching; presets... The ECCOS was a big project for the Keeley team. I know because I was lucky to have played a very small part in it as well. And I'm impressed with the results. So impressed that I've spent the last three days enjoying it and labouring over how to best represent in a short time (you know, the Youtube attention span...). So, here's my take on this little stunner.
Today's tools:
Guitar: 2000 '76 Gibson Explorer Ltd Ed. RI. Which is basically a '58 reissue. I unceremoniously dispatched the loud Gibson pickups that it came with and replaced them with some custom wound Mick Brierley '491' A2 PAF's. They are, to put it frankly, the shit. Contact Mick at http://www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au
Amp: 2 x JC120 models in the Axe-FX III. I used these to give you a very clinical listen to the amazing tones the ECCOS has.
