Howard demonstrating the Catalinbread RAH, illustrating the wide dynamic range, touch sensitivity, and clean up using the guitar's volume knob. We really like to present pedals in a band context in order to demonstrate the fact that they are voiced to sit in the mix without a lot of fussing around. This take started out as the song "What Is And What Should Never Be" and without prior planning became "Heartbreaker".
The Catalinbread RAH pedal was inspired by the 1970 Led Zeppelin performance at the Royal Albert Hall. At that show, Page was using some custom built Hiwatt's into Marshall cabinets, a really unique backline that support Page's definitive dynamic style.
The guitar chain is: 2001 Gibson Les Paul Historic R8 loaded with Burstbuckers & strung up with top wrapped Rev's Lottery Brand 8 gauge strings into a Catalinbread RAH into a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb set clean.
