Greg Fryer is a Sydney-based luthier and technician whose clients include Brian May and Ian Moss (Australian guitarist for Cold Chisel and successful solo artist). Greg has built much loved guitars for them both. Brian May uses Greg's guitars as backups to his original Red Special almost exclusively and Ian Moss plays one of Greg's Strat-style builds more often than not. Treble Boosters are another of Greg's specialties. I have several of them here and I know that, again, Brian May likes to run them too. No wonder - they're amazing! Here's a look at two models - Special and Super - both built around 2015/2016.
Like most, Greg and his business have had to navigate the rough supply waters of the last two Covid years. At the moment can take orders and build units as the parts become available. You are, however, likely to have to wait a short time for order fulfilment. The short message is: get in the queue!
