I have never been a fan of Gibson... primarily because it seems like a company that tries to sell guitars based on their heritage instead of on their current quality. "We used to be great" is not a good sales pitch in my opinion. Add to that the reports from the factory workers, the lacking quality control and the insane CEO, then you have a brand that I could not support.
Things have changed... there is a new sheriff in town and with a new CEO there might be the changes we are hoping for. This is reason enough to enter their booth and see what the atmosphere is like at the Gibson booth at NAMM 2019.
