There are more than a few 'Plexi' type pedal on the market. I must have demoed a hundred or more. None, however, have featured a three-way selection of the classics - 1987, 1959SLP and JTM - until now. This is why I dig the Plexi Breed so much. It takes the discerning characteristics from those three variations and packages them in this standard size pedal that sounds stellar. Rectifier sag from the JTM? Check. Fast attack and tight distortion from the 1987? Check. Big fat headroom from the 1959SLP? Yessir. Treble and Normal Gain is here along with a smooth Tone control and master volume. This pedal wants for little except a decent clean amp platform to play it through. That, of course, will be up to you. Again, great work, Luca.
I know there will be people wanting to see a single-coil demo; it will appear in the next week or so. Cheers.
