After requests to release a standalone version of the Dane’s boost circuit, ThorpyFX designed to give players what they wanted and a whole lot more. The Heavy Water starts with the exact high headroom boost from the Dane on the right side, with a simple volume and bass control. With this powerfully clean circuit, you can add uncolored gain to other pedals or fine tune a boosted amp with the helpful bass control. The left side offers a little clipping and extra grind by utilizing Germanium diodes. When stacked, you can really hear the Ge compression and warmth in addition to an astonishing amount of gain for just two clean boost circuits. Like all ThorpyFX, the Heavy Water is housed in a rock solid, laser etched enclosure and is loaded by hand with top shelf components in England.
