We posted our review of the new Ahsun Sound Machines, Hydrasynth Deluxe- the twin engined Hydrasynth with 73 keys, and now the Hydrasynth Explorer has just arrived. Rather than post a full review, we fired up the system, hooked up the Soma Cosmos - Drifting Memory Station and took a look and a listen in the form of a Friday synth jam.
The Explorer feels like another nicely constructed piece of hardware with a plastic case but still sturdy, no ribbon controller, but with a 3 octave mini key, poly aftertouch keybed. Essentially all of the Hydrasynth under the hood (8 voices, FX etc)
Nick takes a look at the new form factor and plays some sounds into the Cosmos for a musical interest.
