Brian showcases our Gretsch Eddie Cochran 6120 Tribute. Eddie Cochran was a rockabilly singer in the '50s, he penned such hits as "Come On Everybody" and "Summertime Blues", the latter of which is a classic rockabilly song. This is an exact replica of his guitar, it's one of only 50 made by Steven Stern in the Gretsch custom shop. What's so awesome about this is, Gretsch actually borrowed Eddie Cochran's original guitar from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum to be able to meticulously and faithfully reproduce all of the changes that Eddie made to his guitar over the years, the dings the scratches, everything. Eddie loved to tinker with his guitars, one of the big changes he made was putting a P-90 in the neck position as well as a metal nut replacing the original bone nut. If you turn this guitar over you can actually see the paint chips where Eddie rocked out a little too hard. Some other features on this guitar include a fixed Bigsby tremolo, a G brand logo, a beautifully reliced DeArmond pickup which blends with the P-90 to give you Eddie's signature tone and amazing playing neck with western motif inlays, as well as the steer headstock inlay. All of these features come together to give you an experience that's about as close as you're going to get to playing Eddie's actual guitar. This one of only 50 of these made, it's an instant classic. Brian plays a little "Summertime Blues" on the 6120.
