I always enjoy having clients try out all the amps and figure out which ones work for different parts. It's a lot of fun and I figured this video should capture that feeling. Today we get to hear a rhythm guitar part and a lead part through 10 amps, all of which have warmed up for at least 3 hours, some of them for longer.
A quick note about the actually shootout, is that I moved the microphone and adjusted the amp tone controls as needed to bring out the best in each amp. This is what would happen in the real world, instead of using the same mic position, or settings (Down the middle OR Bass at 5, Treble at 5). It's a musical shootout you could say.
In this video we feature these tube amps:
Tex 5 Watt
Fender Blackface Princeton Reverb
Fender Brownface Princeton
Fender Bassman 1959 Reissue
Dine Electro Kit Amp (DIY build, Vintage)
