Karl shows off a personal favorite of his, the Santa Cruz Vintage Southerner acoustic in a sunburst finish.
The Gibson J-45, iconic early 60’s Epiphone Texan, and 1930's Advanced Jumbo acoustic guitars all lent considerable retro cool vibes to the origins of Santa Cruz's Vintage Southerner Model. The must have feature of the Southerner is the shorter, 24-3/4 inch scale length; so yielding to the touch that fretting and reach are a pleasure. This shortened scale length also puts the bridge in the optimal position to produce the comforting, growling presence of an old blues recording.
