Brace yourselves for a fun series on these catalog amps from the golden days of yore. Having just one or two of these in my collection is a rarity, but I woke up to find myself suddenly with FOUR different 1960s Harmony labeled tube guitar amplifiers - models H400A, H410A, H415, and H440. The three smaller amps were manufactured by Lectrolab (aka Sound Projects) in Chicago, while the largest of all, the H440, is one of the largest and most powerful guitar amps Valco ever made. In this series we will service and demo each of these beauties and talk about the interesting history of the Harmony corporation and Chicago guitar manufacturing of the 1960s.
