In this video, we'll explore a couple forgotten Norlin era Gibson guitars which don't get a lot of respect, but are nonetheless excellent player guitars We will look them over and follow the setup of the S1. These guitars both feature Bill Lawrence pickups encased in epoxy. The ones in the Futura are very much like the "tar backs" used in earlier 70s SGs. The Futura model, made between 1982-1984, also came in a bolt-on neck version called the Corvus. The Corvus came in three versions - Corvus I, Corvus II, and Corvus III.
