This is a demo of my latest project. This is a Fender Blues Junior that has been totally gutted of its PC board and rewired by hand with point-to-point and eyelet board construction. The new circuit is my take on a rare vintage amp called a Gregory Mark X, also known as a Stewart SL-11. It's a fairly simple design with volume, tone, and tremolo. I added controls for negative feedback and a switch for the V1 cathode bypass cap and resistor. I also went from a 6CA4 rectifier to a SS, due to the lack of a center tapped transformer. The results are a powerful, expressive amp that is more vintage voiced with a better build quality. It's really closer now to a 18-watt Marshall or Vox.
