This example demonstrates the classic British gain, grind and 'chunk' available from the CRUNCH mode in Channel 2 of the Mark V. Lower and medium gain settings yield genuine classic rock punch, distortion and bite. Higher gain settings deliver more Modern Rock and Metal sounds with ease, especially with the renowned 5-band Graphic EQ engaged in the "Classic V" setting. The CRUNCH mode of the Mark V loves to be turned up to deliver shocking punch and impact once the power section has a chance to breath.
Played by Michael Taylor through the bridge position P90 of a Les Paul Junior into a Mark V head and a 1x12 Widebody Open-Back cabinet. Mic'd with a Shure SM57 and a Sennheiser 421.
