I have purchases hundreds of cables over the years. XLR microphone cables… ¼” guitar cables… speaker… DMX… you name the cable, I have probably purchased it. One thing I have noticed is that for whatever reason, Hosa Cables last longer than other brands. They simple hold up better. Mostly I have owned the standard (Cheapest) cables that hosa offers, but recently Hosa Technologies hooked me up with a variety of cables. They have three levels of guitar and mic cables: standard, pro, and edge. Though the standard cable is good, the pro cable is for sure a step up in quality over just about every other cable I have ever known, and the edge series, with neutrik connectors, guitar and mic cables are simply the best cables I have ever owned. I expect them to last decades with regular use.
In this video I compare the three levels of Hosa guitar and microphone cables and speculate on whom may be interested in each level. For me, my go to cable for all future purchases is the pro series cables. The pro series, with rean connectors, are the best bang for the buck and is an amazing quality cable in both quarter inch and XLR.
