My friend, bandmate, and brother from another mother Joe Scala will join me to bid a fond farewell to four months of weekly live streams. We'll be playing a collection of songs we've written together, and no doubt several other tunes we play together from our respective catalogs. If you're new to Joe's songwriting, you're in for a treat -- he walks the line between Americana, rock, pop, and experimental music deftly, and the shows we've played with The Marksmen since Joe formed that band several years ago are some of the most fun I've ever had playing music (and yes, that includes the shows that we've played together in Midway Fair).

Joseph Scala cuts-and-pastes from indie, rock, alt-country, pop and folk to create his not-quite-perfectly-charming style. He plays regularly in Baltimore with his band The Marksmen, and in 2015 released Skin + Bones, a full-length self-produced album. He also performs in Katie Bowers Band and Midway Fair, and has produced EPs for other Charm City acts like Baltimericana and Mosno Al-Moseeki. As an active member of the Baltimore songwriting community, Joe’s songs tend to find their way into the catalogs of other Baltimore musicians.
