My friends Kate Buckholdt "Penbleeds" and David Benham join me for season 2, episode 8 of the Matinees.

Kate Buckholdt "PenBleeds" is a rapper and spoken word artist known for a rapid-fire delivery of complex, emotional lyrics against a backdrop of innovative loops created for her by composers from around the globe (but often from close to home). Kate often writes about some very unusual subject matter, and she gets loops from a wide range of musicians. We're also be joined by the inimitable David Benham on Native American flutes and synth. David creates soundscapes that range from dreamy to creepy and plays a range of woodwinds including his infamous giant bass PVC tube flute -- he didn't bring it to this show, but you should check out his YouTube channel to see it in action.
