Here is my version of the old folk-blues murder ballad, "Crow Jane". This song's origin is a mystery, but it is believed to come from the Piedmont area of Virginia and the Carolinas. It has a fingerpicking sort of rhythm that differentiates it from Delta Blues. It was first recorded by Julius Daniels in the 1920s. It was performed widely by Rev. Gary Davis, and later was recorded by Skip James upon his brief, end of life return to music from obscurity in the 1960s.
I'm tuned in Open D, in case you're trying to learn how to play it. Chords are D A and G.
