The GAMMA Narcissus Warm Delay is a high-quality delay pedal with simple yet powerful controls, allowing you to quickly dial in the number and timing of your echoes and easily adjust the wet/dry blend.
At the core of the Narcissus is a classic Princeton PT2399 bucket-brigade circuit that produces its warm and rich delay sound. The echoes darken with each repeat, allowing for cascading and undulating soundscapes. You can create traditional slapback echoes by reducing the repeats and reigning in the timing, or go all out and create self-oscillation by cranking up the echoes and time knobs.
The rugged metal construction and sturdy knobs make the Narcissus a reliable and durable pedal that can withstand the rigors of live performances and touring. Its electrical footswitching eliminates audible noise and glitches that can be caused by mechanical switches, while the buffered bypass ensures a consistent and strong signal to other pedals in your chain.
As our good friend Nicholas put it, "This pedal captures sounds that are very similar to an analog delay. Every time its repeating it's going to get kind of lo-fi and scratchy sounding. If you crank the mix all the way up you can get some really crazy self oscillating sounds and like infinite feedback loops."
