The video I put up a couple of nights ago that featured a blue Strat and the Floyd-ish backing track had some pretty positive comments. Today I was watching my Facebook feed and there was a bit of talk about Dave Gilmour and his use of a Gretsch Duo Jet. So I decided to dig out my 2004 Gretsch Silver Jet (I think that's what the model is..!) and jack it into the same Axe-FX patch with the same backing track to see if I could get a cool sound too. This second take, warts and all, is the result.
I did modify the patch a little (and save it under another name) by moving the rotary to a block before one of the delays, and adding a vibe before the amp, which I use a little at the end. You can try it yourself by downloading it from http://axechange.fractalaudio.com/detail.php?preset=4694. If you have a different machine, go to Fractal Audio's website and pull in the latest version of FracTool which will help you port it over to your device.
Cheers,
B
