My oldest friend is named Ed. Edward Clayton Jones. We grew up together in Dandenong, Victoria, until we reached our early teens. His family went their way, mine went mine. A bit later on Ed became a star of the underground and indy music scene while I ended up in the mainstream. I would love to have played a part in the indy scene which I desperately admired but I was never cool enough to be taken seriously in it. I didnt like downers and I did like Zeppelin. At least now I'm old enough to play and indulge in whatever the f*ck I want because no-one cares what blokes of my age do ("Dad is SO weird sometimes.."). So this is for Ed, Rowland and all the other guitarists who were always lovely to me but forever elusive. Ed and I are still mates and this piece is for him. Go Ed.
For tone nerds: I ran a JM Jag to a '59 Princeton with a 10" Jensen and a shitload of reverb and some multi-delay. The amp was being pushed by an Xotic BB Pre. Axe-FX II users, here's the preset download. http://axechange.fractalaudio.com/detail.php?preset=4491
