What do you do when your vintage guitar is missing a part and replacements are either too expensive, too rare, or non-existent? The only answer is to make one from scratch! In this episode, we'll make a rare purely decorative part for the headstock of a mid-60s Kawai guitar. This part was found on the S-180 Hound Dog Taylor, and the SD2W, SD3W, and SD4W guitars. The part is hard to find and expensive when they do turn up, so we'll attempt to make one from a $3 paint tray instead.
