An arpeggio is when the notes of a chord are played in succession, rather than all at once. They can add melodic movement to your chord progressions, and are an excellent ear-training tool — allowing you to really hear each chord tone one at a time. Nicholas Veinoglou demonstrates how to play basic major and minor arpeggios on the acoustic guitar with some helpful tips on incorporating them into your own playing.
