Top 5 Klon Clones

Top 5 Klon Clones

This is the first in our Top 5 Lists. Each item in the list links to a demo of the product, so be sure to check out those too. We’re starting with a big one! The “Dumble” of overdrive pedals, the Klon Centaur, fetching upwards of $2000. If that seems like too much to spend on one pedal, here are our top 5 Klon clones.

1) Klon KTR

After original Centaur prices went through the roof, Klon creator Bill Finnegan produced his second version, the Klon KTR.

2) Wampler Tumnus

The Wampler Tumnus brings Brian’s “different or better” approach to the Klon, making it avaliable in a tiny mini pedal format.

3) J Rockett Archer

Before the launch of the Wampler Tumnus, this was the go to pedal for a less expensive, but still boutique version of the Klon

4) JHS Klone

Now discontinued, so trying to find one might be almost as hard as an original Klon.

5) EHX Soul Food

While maybe lacking some of the bass response of the orginal, Electro Hamonix still managed to bring the Klon sound to he masses with hugely successful Soul Food.
