The Eastcoast GT100 is inspired by the iconic Fender Telecaster design, the guitar made famous by the likes of Keith Richards, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Buckley and Graham Coxon, and just like the Telecaster, this guitar offers a really versatile tonal range, suitable for styles including rock, country, blues and jazz. A full size guitar with a 25.5” scale length, the GT100 features a poplar body with a bolt on maple neck, a maple fingerboard with dot inlays and 22 frets. The guitar tunes up easily and accurately thanks to a set of smooth feeling sealed-gear machine heads, and the well-engineered, 3 saddle bridge maintains those classic telecaster style looks and ensures that intonation stays consistent as you play further up the neck.
As with all of these Eastcoast guitars, it feels really comfortable and easy to play thanks to it’s smooth, satin finished neck and a great, low action set-up straight out of the box, and it sounds just as good too, with lovely warm tones coming from the neck pickup, or flick to the bridge pickup for a bit more bite and some of that classic tele twang. A 3 way selector switch allows you to use each pick either individually or both together, and then there’s a single volume knob and a tone control, so you can roll off the treble for jazzier clean tones.
