The TRI/RAM Muff from Basic Audio is a Muff enthusiast's dream. It offers killer versions of both major Muff food groups - the Ram's Head and Triangle - and has an all-important Mid control to help you tailor your tone to cut through the mix.
John Lyon's is one of the most respected builders in the business and for good reason. His wiring, choice of components, custom casing and attention to detail make Basic Audio's pedals one of the hottest brands on the planet at the moment, and for good reason.
For this video I've paired up three unlikely components with (IMO) great results. Firstly, we have a Charvel Koa Custom Shop from the Music Zoo in NYC. The Charvel has a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge and '59 in the neck. Our amp today is a hand-wired point-to-point '59 Bassman clone built by Labro at Achillies Amps here in Melbourne (see: http://www.achilliesamps.com). And then there's Basic Audio's TRI/RAM MUFF to sew it all together. And what fun it is!
Enjoy. I did!
Burgs. :)
