Yesterday I put up an improv video that featured a CIJ Jazzmaster through the Axe-FX II. I used the Swart Atomic Space Tone model (Fractal call it "Nuclear Tone"). That exercise lead me to seek out quality demos of the 'actual' amp to see how close the Axe-FX II version was.
The difference between the settings (or model) I had dialled up compared to demos of the actual amp by friends, Mike Hermans and Curtis Kent, was vast, so I set about seeing if the Axe-FX II could pull those same tones with a similar guitar to the one Mike used in his demo. I found that by simply rolling back the input volume on the Axe-FX II model I could approximate the tone fairly closely. You be the judge. Regardless, it's a sweet tone by any measure in my opinion.
Cheers,
