Top5 | Nov 30, 2016
Every year it seems like our choices for gear get better and better, and 2016 has been one of the best yet. We're asking you all to vote for your favorite with polls closing new years eve. The order of the list is random just for fairness of the vote and be sure to also check out the Demo of the Year as well.
Demos and poll below, on mobile you may have to click below to open the poll:
1) Swindler Effects Red Mountain Tremolo
The Swindler Effects Red Mountain Tremolo is a deep rich tremolo, that simply must be heard in stereo!

One of the best drives on the market was made even better in 2016, adding a bass and treble along side Mad Professor's unique focus control.

Neunaber have been known for their simply gorgeous reverbs, and 2016 saw them put all of them in one box with their Immerse Reverb pedal.
4) Keeley Mod Workstation
Keeley's workstation series have managed to squeeze in 3 pedals into a tiny footprint, all while keeping the price only a little above a normal single sized Keeley pedal.
5) Walrus Audio Julia Chorus/Vibrato
It's just a chorus pedal right? No, the Julia Chorus from Walrus Audio, is just simply one of the most beautifully organic sounding tone enhancers ever, and of course a KNOBS demo never hurts.
6) TC Electronic Sub n Up
2016 saw TC Electronic release many great new pedals. With the Sub n Up though, they have produced one of the most organic and versatile octave pedals on the market.
7) Empress Effects Reverb
With their Reverb, Empress have brought a single pedal that does everything from classic spring to modulated ambient spaces. It's also expandable, with new features and algorithms being added regularly.
8) EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run
The Avalanche Run is a pedal that could only have come from EarthQuaker Devices, and definitely one of the best of the year. The KNOBS demo featured here is also up for our Demo of the Year.
9) Chase Bliss Audio Tonal Recall
Everyone was asking for it, and in 2016 the delivered; a delay pedal, with all the options, ramping and analog goodness you'd expect from Chase Bliss Audio.
10) Wampler Mini Ego Compressor
The first thing to be remove from a cramped pedalboard always seems to be your compressor, but with the Wampler Mini Ego you don't have to compromise on space or quality.
Our congratulations also to all the fabulous artists and manufacturers not included on this list, it was almost impossible to pick just 10.
